Fall Semester 2025 is a Wrap!

It is this time of year that we look back our accomplishments, specifically how your PTO supported our Students, Teachers and School. Here are some of the things that we organized and sponsored last semester:

  • Hosted two family pre-game tailgate parties: one at our first Soccer game and another before our HoCo game
  • Provided meals and treats for Teachers and BVNW Staff for school kick off, conferences, teacher training, Thanksgiving pie distribution and more
  • Recruited and organized volunteers for Picture Day, Hoco Dance and Vision/Hearing Testing
  • Gave out over $7,300 in Grants to support sports, dance, theater, academics and pep club
  • Ran concessions at our home football games
  • Funded hospitality at several school and sports events
  • Recognized our State Champion Athletes
  • Funded over $700 of academic "Pop-Up" Grants
  • Provided teachers stipends to set up their classrooms for success
  • Gave out free tickets for Cheer competition and Husky Showcase to enable student support
  • Recognized Staff Birthdays with cards and gift cards
  • Designed and printed an invaluable School Directory
  • Hosted a "Student Day Out" so students could have fun and hang out with their friends on a day off school
  • And MORE!!!

Whew!

And we are ready to do even MORE this Spring! But we can't do all this without YOU our PTO Members and Donors. If you have room in your budget, please click HERE to donate to our "Invest in Northwest" fund to enable YOUR PTO to implement our awesome plans for Spring Semester!

Thank you for Making our Teachers feel Appreciated!

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the PTO Holiday Luncheon for our teachers in December. It was an amazing spread and a wonderful way to thank them for a great semester!

p.s., And thank you to the Staff Appreciation Committee for starting the year off right with a nacho bar at Teacher Inservice on January 4th!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: TEENS IN NEED

TEENS IN NEED (T.I.N.) Program Launch

Based on suggestions from several Members, the PTO has started a "Teens in Need" program under the umbrella of our Sunshine Committee, led by our awesome Claire Croutch. The purpose is to give all BVNW students the opportunity to participate in academics, sports, performing arts, and school-sponsored activities regardless of financial circumstances. We hope to help cover essential costs like equipment, uniforms, and participation fees for example, that act as financial barriers preventing student engagement: a win-win for the whole BVNW community!

How can you help?

Make a monetary donation that will be used to stretch the PTO budget to purchase items requested or pay for participation fees. Click HERE and select "T.I.N. Donation" to donate directly to the fund or drop off at the BVNW front desk a check made out to BVNW PTO with "TIN Fund" in the notes.

A big THANK YOU to those who contributed already and helped ensure all students can participate in spring sports and auditions and are equipped for the classroom!

If you know of a student who has not been able to participate in a class, sport or other activity based on ability to pay, please encourage them to contact their Counselor or Program Sponsor to make a request.

PURCHASE A GIFT CARD AND GIVE BACK

Simply purchase gift cards from over 750 retailers through the Raise Right Fundraising Platform and the BVNW PTO will receive a portion of profits. From now through the end of January, all Raise Right Fundraising proceeds will go directly to the Teens in Need program fund.

Go to www.RaiseRight.com and use the BVNW PTO code: XYTKGHGRTMWD when signing up. Easy peasy to do so much good!

Yard Sign Sales are Open for Business!

Thank you for your patience while we transitioned Committee Chairs from Meg Goddertz to Jessica Kroll. Click HERE to get your Sign and Placards to beat the Fall rush!
